Celebrating Financial Literacy Month

Praise the Lord! To each of you I say grace and peace as we enter the month of April together. During the month of April, we pause to recognize Financial Literacy Month—a timely and necessary focus for the people of God. Stewardship has always been a spiritual responsibility, not just a practical one. Scripture reminds us that we are to be faithful over what has been entrusted to us, and that includes our finances, our resources, and our economic decisions.

In this season, the Department of Education is placing intentional emphasis on financial literacy as a tool for both empowerment and preservation. To preserve our organizational heritage, we must also strengthen the economic foundation of our people. Financial clarity leads to stability, and stability allows us to build, sustain, and pass down what God has given us from one generation to the next.

Throughout this month, we encourage every member—leaders, families, and young people alike—to engage in learning, reflection, and application. Whether it is budgeting, saving, investing, or understanding debt, these are not secular concerns alone; they are part of disciplined leadership and wise stewardship.

Let us commit ourselves to growth in this area, knowing that when we manage better, we position ourselves to do more for the Kingdom and for our communities.
